EASC 360 - Global East Asia

This is a Maymester course - a course specific to USC. It is done after our spring semester ends in May, consisting of two weeks in LA and a two-week field trip to Kyoto! The topic revolves around heritage and traditions of Heian-period Kyoto.

Basically the only submittable is the final project, and I wrote this, a project analyzing the appropriation and presentation of Heian period cultural icons in contemporary Japanese Animation, using Uji and Sound! Euphonium as a case study.

While by far not the work I spent the most time on, it was the funnest paper I've ever wrote. A fun fact: I was having trouble finding evidence for my argument - and the new episode of Sound! Euphonium (s3e11) before the due date saved my life. It's also new for me to quote some content released 2 hours ago. :)

*Background from Yahari ore no seishun rabukome wa machigatte iru. Three things about this. 1. Yes I didn't use Eupho as bg. 2. I don't like Yukino but I like this pic. 3. Full name of this anime only.
